I didn’t have much time to knit lately but I did try to learn a few new skills.
I always admired aran sweaters and complicated cable patterns but they also looked very intimidating. So I decided to practice by making a hat first. The pattern is free and you can find it on Purl Bee. I can’t tell you how much I love this site, which is packed with great tutorials for everyone interested in knitting, crochet and sewing.
Next, I started this sweater, that I found on Pinterest a while back. I thought it looked great and it also comes with a free pattern.
So far things are good but I’m moving quite slowly, adding a few rows whenever I can find the time to sit down and knit.
Last but not least, here’s my first decent pair of shocks.
The pattern is easy to follow and I really love how warm they are!
