From Picasso to Koons & Japanese Micropop

On Thursday I visited two very interesting exhibitions that are happening right now in Athens.

The exhibition “From Picasso to Koons. Artists’ Jewellery” is being held at Benaki Museum and it features limited edition or one-off-a-kind jewelry designed by artists, such as Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, Georges Braque and many more.

This pendant was designed by Pablo Picasso in 1973 and was fabricated by Francois Hugo. It belongs to the Diane Venet’s collection:

Next, we visited the exhibition “Japanese Micropop” at the B & M Theocharakis Foundation, which presents the work of 14 contemporary japanese artists.
