From the UK with love

My brother is back from the UK for the Easter holidays and check out all the things that he brought me!

When I know that he’s coming, I usually order what I need and have it sent to his UK address to avoid the extra shipping costs. This time, I ordered the new paperback edition of the Penland Book of Jewelry, which is just as amazing as it looks! The book is packed with a wealth of information on intermediate and advanced jewelry techniques that I can’t wait to study further.

I also decided to make a few postcards with selected rings from my Ring-a-Day project and print them with Moo. It might take a while to have the book with all 365 rings ready, so the postcards will do for now:

Tomorrow, I will post more photos of the postcards.

Since I was almost out of business cards and mini cards, I made a few more, which contain images of my latest work. The mini cards continue to have jewelry care instructions printed on the back side but I made a few modifications to the text. As always, the Moo quality is excellent!.

Last but not least, my brother surprised me by bringing me a few packs of Premo Sculpey clay and some watercolor brushes as an early gift for my birthday!

This clay is so soft and malleable compared to the Fimo that I’ve been using to make my metal clay molds. So much easier to condition it and sculpt it. I made a few molds and then played with it for a while. I don’t know why I always end up making flowers, leaves and such things!

Thanks for reading!
