Although I strive to make good use of all the materials that I already have, there are always different things that grab my attention and I feel that I have to try!
Yesterday, my brother came home from UK for a short vacation and he brought me some of the stuff that I had ordered. First, it was this tiny amount of silver metal clay. I ‘m so curious to see how this material works. It’s a very small quantity but enough to satisfy my curiosity!
Workable Fixatif and varnish to continue experimenting with prismacolors:
Watercolors, paper and brushes. From some initial painting that I did yesterday, I think that heavier paper is needed and better quality brushes also.
New business cards from Moo. The paper is acid-free and sourced from sustainable forests. The other thing I love about Moo is that on the back side, you may print up to 50 of your own images.
This morning, I finished the sterling silver version of this leaf ring that I had made for Ring-a-Day.
“Eucalyptus Ring”
I called it “eucalyptus” ring, because the shape of the leaf is reminiscent of the elongated leaf of an eucalyptus. We have lots of these trees around here. I like to collect the fallen leaves which have started drying or curling. Their green color changes into this beautiful, pale, brown/red. Here’s an example. of how they look like.
I’m also working on these little ‘leaf” stud earrings. They need filing, sanding and finishing.
