When in Rome, Part One

Just got back from Rome, which was as beautiful as ever. My feet still hurt from the walking but it was definitely worth it.

From the rainy Athens to the cozy rooms of Hotel de Petris, near Fontana di Trevi.

Centro storico:

The famous Fontana di Trevi was always packed with visitors. The surrounding area is so lively all the time. One thing I particularity loved was the window displays with all the gourmet italian products.

I loved the Market at Campo de Fiori, which is open every morning except Sunday. I bought lots of herb mixes for pasta and pizza, dried porcini mushrooms and truffle oil. The area is also quite nice to visit in the evening.

After severe testing, I came to the conclusion that the best cappuccino was served at Tazza d’ Oro, near Pantheon. It costs only 1 € and the taste is amazing!

I’m not much into ice cream, or gelato if you prefer, but my friends enjoyed it several times during the day at San Crispino, Via Panetteria 42, near Fontana di Trevi .

I’ll be back with more pics soon.

Thank you for visiting!
