Revising the past – the rosette series

When I first got into metalsmithing, this small rosette was one of the first pieces that I had made in brass.

It was more of an exercise in sawing, filing and soldering and my intention was to make a ring with it. Well, that ring never happened and the rosette stayed hidden in one of my boxes for many years…

…until now! Seeing it with different eyes, I decided to cast it in silver and make two new bracelets, one adjustable and one with jade.

Then I incorporated a rosette in another one of my favorite long necklaces with gemstones and hand -woven cord:

Last, I made a pair of asymmetrical earrings with jade and thread:

…and just like that, all of a sudden, a new mini collection was born!
