ruby

New gemstones, ruby faceted rondelles, chalcedony briolettes and hill tribe silver beads. Can’t wait to start using them all! Here’s a new pair of earrings that I made with the fuchsia pink chalcedony briolettes.

Inspired by a tutorial on the September issue of Art Jewelry magazine, written by Marian Ward, I made an urchin sample this morning using only a towel, a hammer and a pen. If you try something similar, just remember to anneal the copper frequently, otherwise it gets brittle and could break.

Two of my favorite things to make, these silver ribbon earrings and the eucalyptus ring:

Recently collected grey/black pebbles, I can never have enough of these to make rings with.

I’m also making various cross-stitching patterns and testing color combinations. Some of theme will be used for the new embroidery & metalwork series that I recently started.
