Heart Necklace, Jade Necklace, Chrysocolla Necklace
A few days ago I finished these necklaces that I talked about in an earlier post.
By making them, I wanted to combine playfulness and simplicity at a fraction of the cost. A sliding knot makes the length of the necklaces adjustable.
They will be part of a new series that I will be preparing.
The “heart” is in sterling silver and it is combined with coral and waxed linen cord in purple and turquoise/blue.

The next features a faceted jade briolette, hill tribe silver “leaf” charm and russian amazonite.

Sometimes I like to shift to my old wooden background!

I finished another Black & White Pebble Ring yesterday. Somehow I resisted the temptation to post it again for Ring-a-Day although it wasn’t easy! Compared to the previous, the white pebble on this one is bigger.

In the spirit of simplicity that I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I made this one for Ring-a-Day today:
Peridot Ring
It’s thin and tiny and features a 3mm tube-set peridot cab. The band is sterling silver and the tube is soldered on a brass base. I thought the green of peridot would look nice combined with the yellow of the brass. It needs a little bit of clean-up and finishing…..I think I will do it tomorrow.
Art Jewelry and Jewelry Artist arrived simultaneously yesterday and I didn’t get a chance to look at them yet. I think I’ll be spending the next of the afternoon by the pool reading them.
…and just so there’s no misunderstanding, the pool is not mine! It is shared by all the residents of the building were I’m living. Nothing fancy and luxurious but it works great when the heat is unbearable!
Also a reminder that my book giveaway is still on and that you will be able to participate until Sunday morning.
Have a nice afternoon!
