“K is for Kalanchoe”, sterling silver, patinated copper.
In the midst of a heat weave, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to do any serious metalwork. Still, I finished a few new pieces that I wanted to share with you.
First, a photo of the Kalanchoe ring, made for the Letters of Adornment online exhibition. The blue/green patina on the copper flower is still not stable but I’m considering a few other options to make it more permanent. The above photo also made it to Explore on Flickr today, which is always a very welcoming surprise!
Here’s a new pair of earrings that I finished today, inspired by the Jasmine Vine Pendant:
“Jasmine earrings”, sterling silver.
For this beautiful, faceted, iolite gemstone, I just wanted to make a simple ring to show it off:
“Iolite ring”, sterling silver, 3mm faceted iolite.
A pair of gold plated sterling silver chalcedony earrings:
Another one of the macrame bracelets that I love making:
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a decent photo of a pebble ring that I made before I send it to its recipient I used the third pebble and made a bezel setting for the stone.
This weekend I’ll be away on a camping trip. I’m leaving you with a nice, refreshing glass of homemade lemonade and here ‘s the recipe, in case you’d like to make it.
Wish that you have a great weekend!
