…with the help of my mother, who sewed them!
The pouches are made with unbleached cotton muslin. After sewing, I stamped them, using ink suitable for fabric. The stamp is custom made by terbearco and I’m very pleased with it. You can supply your own artwork and then the stamp is made according to your specifications.
After stamping, I ironed each pouch, to heat set the ink. If you decide to try something similar, make sure you place a piece of paper over and below the stamped area because otherwise the hot ink may be transferred to the back side of the pouch.
I threaded a ribbon to a needle and hand sewed each pouch, using a simple running stitch.
I may experiment with different ribbons or cords, to see how they look and I’m also considering using other types of fabric.
