Ring-a-Week #28, “Lavender leaf ring”
Lavender is among my favorite flowers. There’s something about their elegant, long stems, the beautiful purple flowers and their fragrance that I find very appealing.
A few days ago, I talked about trying to transfer the texture of the lavender leaf on metal clay. Later, I had the metal clay master cast in sterling silver and I was ready to finish the pieces that I had in mind.
I went a bit back and forth, trying to decide whether I would oxidize the silver or not:

These two pieces are the latest additions to my botanical series, which is slowly growing. The ring is also my #28 for Ring-a-Week.
