Enameling update

…this time my main goal was to practice enameling on silver. I also received a bottle of Klyfire and three new colors that my brother sent me.

The first sample was turned into a reversible and adjustable cord bracelet:

These are the new colors, applied on sterling silver……can’t say that I’m entirely happy with them:

Here’s an attempt to enamel on a silver piece with solder seams. I used hard solder to connect the heart and the ring band and fortunately it didn’t come apart during enameling. The heart was randomly selected from a scrap pile and I’m guessing that the black spots are due to previous traces of solder.

I’m yet to find enameling colors that I really like how they look on silver, besides this yellow amber. I noticed that there’s a nice selection of vitreous enamels on CooksonGold …..now I only need to convince my brother to send me more!!

Thanks for reading!
