Chrysocolla Pendant, work in progress

I made several pre-sketches for a chrysocolla pendant that I wanted to make for a long time. Some were more complicated, with many leaves and longer branches.

But when I cut the leaves and started arranging them, I decided to go for a simpler, clean design.

I have soldered the leaves and the bezel setting that’s going to hold the stone. Now I have to set the chrysocolla oval cabochon and decide about the cord and the clasp that I’ll use to hang it.

Usually, I ‘m struggling a little during this last part of the process: personally, I’m not very fond of chains; instead, I prefer my pendants strung on various types of cording. But I’m not sure what most people would prefer.

What do you think? What’s your preference?
