A fun side project and a few more stuff

Recently I was asked by a friend to make a brooch featuring ….the only and only Minnie Mouse! The brooch shouldn’t be too “crazy” but it would be nice if it had some sort of color incorporated in the design. It also had to be quite long, Minnie’s height should be 7cm.

This is what I came up with and I hope that she will like it!!! I do not intend to make more of this, I just made only one for this friend who happens to love Minnie!

….now for a few more pics of what I’ve been up too lately.

I’ve been fascinated with keys, especially vintage keys of various shapes and sizes. Keys are supposed to unlock doors and therefore they’re often considered as a symbol of luck. Keys are also associated with knowledge and life.

“A key to…?”, sterling silver, green tourmaline, 2.3 x 2.8 x 1cm

Here, I decided to make this sterling silver ring featuring a hand fabricated key and one of my favorite green tourmalines.
I named it “A key to….?” leaving it empty, so that the phrase can be filed according to each person’s specific needs!
