Crown pendant, sterling silver, 4mm faceted garnet, silk.
Ring-a-Week #40, “Silver rose”, sterling silver, fine silver.
This weekend I finished a custom “crown” pendant, which is strung on a black silk cord. More types of crowns should come soon. Then I took the enameled scraffito leaf – which was one of my first samples – and turned into a pendant, by adding a couple chalcedony and jade beads on a brown waxed linen cord.
The silver rose ring technically wasn’t done during the weekend….. but it was pretty close! I discovered a couple of those hill tribe silver roses in one of my boxes and thought I could make a ring with one of them.
I had a lot of fun making two delicate bracelets by combining tiny faceted hill tribe silver beads and faceted ruby and emerald rondelles. Both bracelets were finished off with handmade, sterling silver toggle clasps.
On Sunday I did a little research and practice into some new knotting techniques but I will write more about it tomorrow.
