Today I started working on a special order. This is going to be a heart-shaped locket, which will hold two baby photos.
There’s going to be a hinge on one side but I haven’t decided on the clasp yet. The hearts have different textures on each side.
This was a nice opportunity to test the textures that I got from Rolling Mill Resource. The textures work very well both for roll printing and metal clay.
The hearts are roll-printed but I would like to test the textures on metal clay too. I bought the lace and the floral patterns. The “cracked earth” texture on the left, was a very welcome gift from Tracey!
I have made hinges for a bracelet long ago but I have never made a locket before. Let’s see how it goes!
