R-A-D #249 9/6/2010 “The Sketchbook Ring”
An old leather notebook was the inspiration for the Sketchbook ring that I made on Monday, by cutting a piece of leather and binding it with embroidery thread.

Next, I bezel set one pebble from Myrtos and made two rings with my newest metal clay pieces: the little crocheted flower and the molded shells. Friday’s ring is a simple, thick, sterling silver band, which is soon going to have a black pearl set on top. It’s a custom order but I have to wait for the pearls to arrive by mail, until I complete it.
For my weekend rings, I used the feathers that I found at the park and a piece of the moss that was brought to me by one of my uncles!
