Rough and natural

I love making work that is reminiscent of botanical forms or that incorporates natural and rough materials.

For these new mismatched earrings, I chose black pebbles from my collection, rose quartz and raw apatite. The stones are set in bezels and a four-prong setting, made with fine silver, sterling silver and 14k yellow gold.

These stud earrings are made with rough sapphires, which is September’s birthstone. Sapphires are considered the stones of wisdom and their name is derived from the greek work “sappheiros”, which means “blue stone”.
