It’s such a fulfilling sentiment when things that you love and keep you inspired come together. It’s no secret that I have a deep appreciation for botanical forms and natural specimens. Collecting bits and baubles from nature is one of my favorite activities. I have kept many different leaf shapes and pressed them by simply inserting them between the pages of old books.

Now one of my recent obsessions is watercolor painting; so I decided to paint some of my pressed leaves and create mini cards, which are going to be stitched around the edges. Fiber embellishments is also one of my addictions!

.....and then of course it’s jewelry making, my primary passion. This is why I decided to offer these miniature paintings as gifts with my jewelry orders. I hope the recipients will appreciate the feeling that comes with these cards and not the actual result which is amateur.

I’ll post some more pics, once I finish the stitching details!

Here's another set that I started sketching, using some of my shells as a reference:

I find it very pleasing to paint in such a small scale....mainly because it provides instant gratification!

Thanks for reading!
