Playing with food
Cherries, strawberries and apricots, my favorites fruits and they’re all in season right now. As I was slowly eating them the other day, I felt like sketching. I’m not much of a sketcher but I like to experiment and play with paper, pens and paint occasionally.
Talking about fruits, another quick and easy way to enjoy cherries and strawberries is to let them simmer for 10-15 minutes in a saucepan, adding just the fruits, a couple tbsp of sugar, vanilla extract and a few drops of lemon in the end. Of course, if you’re using cherries, you’ll need to remove the pit first!
I usually prefer to eat this instant gratification type of dessert plain but you can combine it with freshly baked bread, or serve with a cake slice, muffins or ice-cream.
