These days I find myself enjoying the Ring-a-day challenge so much! It gives me the best incentive to expand the Woodland series by adding more rings with teardrop stones, like these gorgeous green onyx and blue larimar cabochons.

Most of these rings are available on my Etsy Shop. For more rings, including those made with unconventional materials, follow along through Instagram.

These days, I had the pleasure of working with some of my new teardrop gemstones. I made a new moonstone ring, an oxidised blue larimar ring and a green onyx ring with an eucalyptus seedpod.

All about rings

All about rings

This year, because of the Ring-a-Day challenge that runs on Instagram, I'll be making more rings that usual! Some wearable, some freeform and experimental.

These amethyst rings are hand fabribated in sterling silver. The first ring has a "branch" band and it's black platinum plated. The second ring is also adjustable with a fine silver "pebble". Both rings are also available through my Etsyshop.

...plus some rings of the more experimental kind! They are made with wax, dried seeds, flowers and leaves. I have also made "rings" emdroidered on fabric or made out of weaved yarn.

Snow day

Snow day

Snow is rare in our small city. We usually have to climb the mountains to find it! So when it happens to snow every ten years or so, we try to enjoy it as much as we can!

When we finally decided to get back inside, I started knitting this pair of fair isle mittens, which is now finished and a sweet little boy is going to wear them soon!

New Year and a new challenge

New Year and a new challenge

If you’ve followed the Ring-a-Day Challenge back in 2010, perhaps you’ll be as excited as I am for the Ring-a-Day 2.0 that has just started! This time the challenge will mostly run through Instagram.
I’ll be posting some of the rings on my blog every now and then but you will be able to follow through my Instagram and search the entries of all participating jewelers using the hashtags #ringaday2017 and #rad2017.
I consider it a good sign when the year starts with feathers, macrame knots and sea urchins! These are some of my favourite things to make!
