Tying up loose ends

Tying up loose ends

This week was about completing all those half finished projects, tying up loose ends, finally using bits and pieces that were laying on the bench for months. Everything seems to be falling into place and ideas are flowing.

The rosette ring got a new look, I had it black platinum plated and have added a tiny little sparkling tourmaline in the centre.

One of my favourite raw stones is the apatite. Here, I've combined it with a triangular band.

I've been thinking of making hoops for a while, this custom order gave me the chance to do so.

Last but not least, some production work that I'm doing these days.

Studio time

Studio time

Now that I’m back in the studio, I can honestly say that I missed spending time here, I missed my tools and most of all I missed the creative process.

Before I go and between my travels, I had finished all the orders that I could.

I had also finished a new macrame feather bracelet but somehow forgot to post it.

These days, besides some production work, I got back into the habit of making rings and I’m really enjoying it. As you can probably tell, I’m so behind with the Ring-a-Day project but I hope that eventually, I will catch up.

Summer adventures

Summer adventures

What an amazing August this has been! The highlight was our thru-hike at Dolomites, Italy. We spent one unforgettable week crossing the Altavia 1 of the Italian Alps. Breathtaking views, endless hours of hiking, swimming in alpine lakes and experiencing new challenges each day, all in the company of good friends.

Last, a quick overnight stop at the beautiful Venice.

And then it was time to enjoy the sea! So we’ve packed our rucksacks again and went to a quiet little spot at Cyclades. Sikinos island was just what we were looking for, perhaps even more.

There’s more about my summer travels on Instagram.

Before the summer break

Before the summer break

During August, I’ll be on and off for the most of it. We’ll be away for a few days, then a couple days back home and off we go again. I will post more details on that soon. For now I just enjoy these amazing summer days as much as possible and keep making pieces that I love.

Using the seashells that I collected back in May from Balos beach, Crete, I cast them in sterling silver and made a new pendant and a pair of earrings. The earrings are finished with lapis lazuli cubes, turquoise and moonstone.

The adjustable pendants also make layering much easier!
